The game series share some common elements – different modes, numerous settings, customizable features, and a furious spirit of competition.
The game process happens in the real time. Players and teams arrange matches and tournaments, following the objectives – to win the main cup and become the best in the history of NBA. The teams can be expanded by means of MyLeague and MyGM Modes. The teams are expandable and changeable. You are welcome to rearrange them anyway you want to, adding different players from all eras of basketball history – current and past. There are more than 65 classical teams available. Also, you are welcome to customize your own, transferring and changing the members. The game is built on two major formats – MyCareer and MyTeam. Let’s stop on them in more detail.
MyCareer mode is a version of the game where you can become a real basketball star, but you will have to start as a beginner in the yard, where you will play with your friends. The further way will depend on you and your efforts. The sport achievements are waiting for you! You can choose the character in almost any part of the NBA games and choose whether you want to play for a male or female player. Most of the NBA games include a female league that is a bit different from the traditional one. Almost every element of the character is customizable – hair, face traits, clothes, shoes, and accessories. You can buy new items and parts of the wardrobe, make yourself a tattoo or change the haircut. Not only you will perform on the court, but also do your workouts, train, overthink your strategies and moves. These activities will help you practice and become a better player. There are numerous exclusive stories for every player who choose the MyCareer mode, so you are welcome to write your own plot and make your own way to the leaderboard.
MyTeam is a mode that is based on the other idea – you won’t follow the solo career way, but instead you are going to play for an entire team, manage them, train their skills, and choose how to lead them to the victory, gaining transfers and improving team work. The tournaments are waiting for you all over the world – you will travel around the globe and take part in major challenging matches with the teams from all regions. The tournaments include different seasons and you are going to move through them and make your way to the major championship where the main cup will be your reward. We hope that your training and effort will bring you success and real emotions on the playing court!
- NBA 2K17 on Android is a solid NBA experience. Some may think why play this version over one of the newer ones. I though feel that the 2K17 version has all the game modes you would want, decent controls, great graphics and it is not as bogged down with Microtransactions as the newer games in the series have become.

UPDATE 10/19/16: Now includes 7 versions (my 2K15 and 2K15 settings + two 2K17 settings). All work in NBA 2K17, however only the two 2K17 settings (v1 and v2) were made specifically for 2K17. Note: that you should be able to alt-tab to Reshade’s mediator application to change between settings in game (in order to find the setting that best suits you).
UPDATE 10/7/16: FOR THOSE EXPERIENCING ISSUES USING RESHADE WITH WAIGUADLL (I.E. THE GAME DOESN'T LOAD):
1) Keep clicking on NBA2K17.exe and the game should eventually load. I have not found a fix for this yet.
2) Some have said that every time they click on NBA2K17.exe, a new processes has started. This doesn't happen for me, but you might want to check. Wait until the game actually loads, then alt+tab out to the desktop, press control+alt+delete and open task manager, and close any open instances of NBA2K17.exe that are not actually loaded.

2K17 v1 setting:
1) Eliminates the yellowish tint.
2) Significantly reduces/eliminates fog
3) Introduces a “halogen stadium lighting” look (i.e. reduces color temp a tad).
2K17 v2 setting:
1) Eliminates the yellowish tint.
2) Significantly reduces fog.
3) Is less of a performance hit than the 2K17 v1 setting
NOTE: This mod uses Reshade, an injector developed by crosire, which combines post-processing shaders by Lucifer Hawk, Ganossa, CeeJay.dk, Marty McFly, and JPulowski. Reshade supports DX8-11, and is compatible with all versions of Windows (i.e. Vista to Windows 10). All credit goes to them for creating this terrific tool.
Directions:
Please follow the instructions carefully, as Reshade works a bit differently than Sweetfx in the past.
1) Download the mod.
2) Extract the Reshade 2.0.3 folder to a permanent location (i.e. where you save important game files / applications).
3) Run Mediator.exe (i.e. double click it).
7) Click “Add” on the left, and locate “NBA2K17.exe” (typically c:program files(x86)SteamsteamappscommonNBA 2K17).
8) Be sure to check Direct3D 10/11 (defaults to Direct 3D9).
9) Click “Confirm”.10) Within the black drop down box (on the right), select “2K17v1” preset (and any of the seven settings I’ve included).
11) Click “Apply” on upper right.
12) Close Mediator, fire up the game.
Note 1: As you start the game, you should see Reshade load (upper left of screen).
Note 2: You can toggle the Reshade effect with the scroll lock key, and take screenshots with the print screen key. Screenshots are saved in your NBA 2K17 folder.
Note 3: You may need to adjust the brightness of your screen.
Note 4: If the game crashes on startup, try disabling steam overlay, and killing other applications (i.e. afterburner, precision, etc.). I didn’t have any problems.
Note 5: To try one of the other settings, open Mediator.exe, select NBA2K17 from the drop down menu on the left. Click Update. Be sure Direct3D 10/11 is checked. Select the present you would like to try from the drop down menu on the right, and then click apply on upper right.
